Howard Johnson Express Inn - Murfreesboro

For the price, this was a good hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and available. Even though there was no elevator, the hotel met our needs and comfort.

The room was large, it was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the price was perfect . We only stayed the weekend but I would stay there again.

No elevator. Lighting in rooms needed to be updated.

Room was dirty and smelly. Staff was very unfriendly.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in all my travels. Horrible. Smell of mold, damp carpet, soiled linens. Second day linen was not changed, and am sure it wasn't changed before we checked in due to the looks of the sheets. I am 62 yrs old and never have seen or had such a bad experience. All so my son and daughter in law also stayed at the Ramada Inn and their experience was as ours, we will never come again and will make this public. This hotel was advertised as having a deluxe breakfast and it did not. Coffee was cold, bagels were left out uncovered, no attendant on duty to supervise things. The coffee never got refilled. The mirrors in the hotel room were dirty and the coffee pot was dirty, they never got cleaned the whole time we were there. the front desk area was locked until 6 AM in the morning. We could not get into the lobby at all! Someone had painted over old wall paper on the walls throughout and did a terrible job. This hotel does not deserve a star rating. Needs to be updated and needs more lighting. The sofa bed looked and felt like something that was found on the side of the road.
